Hahaha! Are you effing kidding me? John Bolton? It's not as if the list of putative GOP presidential hopefuls is what you'd call stellar - some examples:

- Sarah Palin

- Mike Huckabee

- Newt Gingrich

- Michelle Bachmann

- Mitt Romney

Sarah, Newt and Michelle are all completely absurd choices in any case, but Bolton? He takes the cake. A sour, unsympathetic, ultra-hawkish rat-bag with the hugely oversized gonads to presume that he has a snowflake's chance in hell to be nominated, let alone survive even one primary. He's the very definition of unelectable.

Plus he looks like Chumley the Walrus from Tennessee Tuxedo...

I'm not overwhelmed by Barack Obama's efforts at this point (acknowledging that he was dealt a really rotten hand to play), but so far, I haven't seen what you'd call a viable alternative from any party.

2012 is shaping up to be a weird year.
